Last night, fellow Buffalo Mom, Stacey Marks, and I took our littles to see Disney on Ice’s presentation of Frozen – and boy did it not disappoint.
Me: “I wonder if I’ll even remember any of the songs from this movie…. It’s been a while since we’ve seen it…..”
Also me: “DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOOOOWWWMMAAANNNN….”
Back in September, which feels like it was yesterday, we celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday in the best way – by having someone else host the party for us! I somewhat reluctantly relinquished my role of ultimate party planner/decorator, handed the decor off to a total stranger, and crossed my fingers it would turn out okay.
Since my daughter was about 6-months old, I felt the desire (pressure) to enroll her in some kind of “Mommy & Me” program. Of course, my desires and best intentions often have fallen to the wayside – along with my plans to wash my hair and clean my basement.
This was it! We were officially going to be called…”The Jackson Five”!
My husband is a natural. We call him the baby whisperer. Give him a baby and BAM! That baby melts into his arms. It wasn’t quite as easy for me. But when I became a mother, something changed. I changed.
Being that it is week SIX (seven? I’ve lost count, to be honest) of the school year, I figured it was time to exhale and organize some of my thoughts. I know I have to go through this again, so this will hopefully serve as inspiration in the years to come… assuming I survive.
