Last night we had the pleasure of attending Disney On Ice: Worlds of Enchantment at KeyBank Center, thanks to tickets provided by Feld Entertainment. And today, we’re feeling extra thankful for a snow day to recover from all the excitement!
True life: I’ve never been to Disney. Despite the numerous adventures we’ve been on (summer-long trips and National Park hopping on the regular), our kids remind me somewhat regularly that we’ve never taken them to meet Mickey Mouse, and the FOMO heightened for them this past fall after their cousins returned from a family trip to Florida. So you can imagine their excitement when I presented them with the opportunity to see their favorite characters in real life close to home at Disney On Ice!
This past weekend, we were given four tickets to see the performance of “Junie B. Jones Is Not a Crook” at the Theatre Of Youth. Our excited kindergartener practically skipped her way into the theatre, excited to see the characters she’s been reading about in school come to life on the stage. Our son (age 3.5), was equally as excited – although we were admittedly a bit anxious to see how he would sit for an hour+ long performance.
Procrastinators, unite! It’s Christmas Eve-Eve, AKA the time of year where you almost always suddenly remember someone you were supposed to buy a gift for and completely forgot about. Just me? If you’re finding yourself debating on going out to the store or cashing in on an “IOU” this year, fear not. Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream has a solution for you!
It was a true Christmas miracle – we had a FREE WEEKEND DAY and were offered an opportunity to spend the afternoon together at the theatre. (I knew my self-imposed holiday prep deadline would pay off.) We had yet to experience a performance at the Allendale Theatre, and all four of us were looking forward to checking it out. Parking is a tad tricky, but arriving 45 minutes before show time rewarded us a convenient spot across the street.
