My husband and I had a solid commitment/date night for Valentine’s Day this year: a fifth grade Operetta performance of “Cinderella’s Kids.” (Could anything be more romantic?!) So, when we were graciously invited to attend a painting session at Pinot’s Palette, the opportunity for a day date was too good to pass up!
Two years ago, when my oldest daughter started to show interest in becoming a ballerina, I started looking for a dance studio for her to get some formal lessons. I stumbled across Dance Spectrum in Depew in my internet searches and was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered 4-6 week, 45-minute workshops for toddlers and preschoolers. What a great low-commitment way to see if we liked the studio!
Growing up, I never officially learned to swim. We lived in Queens, so the only swimming pool I had access to was the Atlantic Ocean, and with the strong riptides, it wasn’t a very safe place for a lesson. We would jump the waves, get pounded, and were able to make it to shore when we’d had enough, but you won’t see me in the deep end of a pool.
