When is the last time you’ve treated yourself to a shopping trip? (& no, we’re not talking groceries.) For me, it had been far too long! I was finding myself stuck between seasons, grabbing for the same few items from my closet every time I went to leave the house. Call it an unintentional capsule wardrobe, minus the quality pieces. It was time to spruce things up a bit.
Enter: Apricot Lane Boutique
You know the online boutiques you follow on Instagram with the cute sweaters and trendy outfits? This boutique is exactly that, but “IRL”. It’s the latest and greatest store to open up in Orchard Park, and I was excited to check it out in person a couple weeks ago. Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint!
Apricot Lane was kind enough to gift us a $150 credit for items to take home, and I’ve been wearing and loving each piece on the regular ever since.
Here’s what I grabbed:
A cozy striped sweater, perfect to throw on for school pick-ups/drop-offs and casual fall outings. The fit is slightly oversized, which I love – pair it with jeans and ankle boots to dress it up or leggings and sneakers for an effortless look. (I’ve worn it both ways and have gotten tons of compliments each time!)
A sparkly tank blouse with tie sleeves (pictured here under this amazing faux leather jacket!). I almost didn’t buy this one, but couldn’t bring myself to pass it up when it came time to checkout. I wasn’t sure how often I’d wear it, but it’s versatile enough to dress up and down. My favorite way to wear it in the fall is under a patterned blazer. There’s just enough sparkle to make a business casual outfit less stuffy. It would also be amazing with a festive skirt for holiday parties, or under a cardigan for date night!
These sneakers, which I have worn almost daily since my visit to the store, and I’ve gotten several inquiries as to where I got them. They’re insanely comfortable, easy to slip on and off when you’re running errands, and the best part? They’re under $40!
Last but certainly not least, this cozy sherpa fleece! I’ve been pining for one of these soft pullovers for months, so I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it hanging in the store. It is amazingly comfortable, the color goes with everything, and it’s perfect for pumpkin patch outings and chilly fall/early winter days. I recently packed this one for my birthday trip to the Adirondacks and it did not disappoint! Sherpa Szn FTW.
Needless to say, Apricot Lane Boutique was a Godsend for my fall wardrobe. I managed to walk out with all of the items above for just over $150, and with so many more trendy pieces on their Instagram feed I’ve been eyeing up, I think another outing is in my future!
