A few months ago, my husband, son, and I were cruising the (Walden) Galleria Mall and stumbled upon a newly-opened Billy Beez (BB). We didn’t bother going in for two reasons: the first was that it seemed too advanced for our 2-year old, and the second was that it seemed kind of expensive. I felt that same reluctance last week when asked to pay this place a visit… but, I opted to take one for the team, just so Buffalo Moms everywhere could get the scoop about BB!
It all started when I went back to work when my first daughter, Gabby, was 7 months old. She had never been away from me and was so attached that I did my best to NOT walk the 200 steps from my work to the daycare to make sure she was OK. It was good for her to not be ripped from my arms so often every day, and while I didn’t enjoy it, it was the right thing to do.
Last weekend, we were given the opportunity to check out the Beyond the Bump event at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Since I’m not pregnant, I wasn’t sure what to expect of the event or what I would get from it (other than a slight hint of baby fever which I have since managed to kick, but that’s neither here nor there). I went with two of my girlfriends, one who has an almost-two year old little boy and the other who is a first time mom-to-be due at the end of May!
With my husband’s spring break approaching last month, we debated for a while about whether or not we wanted to take a vacation with the kids to Myrtle Beach like we had in years past. Since Easter was so early this year, we weren’t sure if the weather down south would live up to expectations or warrant such a long drive with two little ones – so instead, we decided to take a mini “Staycation” and ventured to Rochester to check out the Museum of Play!
